Amy is doing what she has always been fascinated with, marketing and advertising. As a little girl when other kids loved watching TV shows, she couldn’t wait for the commercials to come on. When others played house or school, she would play “marketing executive”. Those quirks followed Amy to Texas A&M University where she received her Bachelors of Business Administration with a specialization in Marketing from the Lowery Mays College of Business. Now, instead of playing marketing, she has the privilege of doing the real thing.
Beginning her career with InsurMark, a Houston small business that specializes in Annuity Marketing, Amy had the opportunity to learn all aspects of a small business. Holding many positions in the growing company exposed her to HR, business administration, bookkeeping and, of course, marketing. Working her way up to the position of Marketing Manager, she oversaw all areas of the company’s marketing efforts. From creating and implementing ads, writing articles, web development, incentive programs and company events to marketing planning and budgeting.
After a successful seven years with InsurMark, Amy transitioned out of the work force to care for her two daughters. It was during this time, while re-branding their website, Better Bookkeepers, Inc. called. Amy partnered with them to create to new website content. This successful relationship developed into the position of Better Bookkeepers’ Marketing Manager and the rest is recent history.
When not busy with marketing or spending time with her husband and daughters, you will find Amy decorating her home, leading Children’s Worship at her church, reading the latest mystery novel or cheering on her beloved Aggies.
