Teresa Starr is a vital part of the Better Bookkeepers team. As manager for over 3 years, she oversees dozens of clients’ books and meets with potential clients all while managing bookkeepers in their daily tasks. She never ceases to amaze us with her intuition about people and drive to see others succeed.
Teresa also has a heart for her community. She was with The Woodlands Area Chamber of Commerce for 11 years and touched all aspects of the organization. While employed there, she worked on such projects as The Woodlands Idol, Community Job Fair, Taste of the Town, Golf Classic, Business Summit on Healthcare, Leadership Retreats and the Chairman’s Ball. She ended her tenure at the Chamber as the Vice President of Finance and Operations and joined local business Better Bookkeepers, Inc. She has extensive experience in nonprofit operations and is also eager to serve her community as Treasurer for The Woodlands Charities, Inc.
Before joining the Chamber, Teresa worked in the banking industry. Her experience includes a wide range of banking areas including auditing, preparing Federal Reserve reports and writing policy and procedures.
Assertive and enthusiastic, Teresa enjoys traveling, reading and spending time with her grandchildren.
