HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! I find myself looking back over the past year and can’t believe 2025 has already ended. Our team has grown, changed, and celebrated monumental milestones along the way. The Business Development Team strategized networking, marketing, and social media to bring BBK to a new level. We’ve divided and dedicated our time to numerous local Chambers, networking groups, and local events. Client Services promoted new Team Leads and Senior Bookkeepers. Seeing your co-workers grow and thrive is such a blessing to be part of. We also have a Team Lead, Jennifer Steinberg, who applied and was accepted to join Leadership Montgomery County. The Intentional Operations team continued to be the stable platform we all need to survive. And our Director of Intentional Operations, Crystal McPhie, graduated from the 2025 LMC Master’s class. Needless to say, we’ve seen huge accomplishments in every aspect of BBK.
This summer we celebrated one of the most special moments of all – BBK’s 15 Year Anniversary. What once started as a small business at Melanie Bush’s kitchen table with her two daughters by her side has now grown into a full staff of 20+ employees. We celebrated by hosting the BBK Bash on July 1, 2025. We brought in the Conroe/Lake Conroe, Greater East Montgomery County, Southwest Montgomery County, and The Woodlands Area Chambers of Commerce to complete four ribbon cuttings. Afterwards, we hosted The Woodlands Chamber Business After Hours with refreshments and light bites for all to share. The air conditioning in the building may have been out, but we didn’t let that stop us from having a night to remember!
We started the year with our traditional race to the end of January completing 1099’s and ended the year working on closing the books. In between, time was spent growing and developing Better Bookkeepers, our team, and our community whenever we could. As BBK closes out the year, another chapter in our book, we look forward to what 2026 brings. May you all have a wonderful, fruitful, and fantastic new year!
