March arrived as a bridge between winter’s quiet and spring’s renewal, a month marked by fresh energy, longer days, and a shared sense of new beginnings.
As the busy season of client year-end financials and CPA deadlines winds down, BBK returned our focus to what sets us apart; engaging with the community, fostering professional growth, and creating opportunities for connection and service.
The team remained actively engaged in the community. Several members attended the Women Who Rock event hosted by the United Way of Greater Houston, where they were reminded of the importance of connection and support among women, through friendships, family, and community.
March also brought an abundance of celebration within the office, as BBK celebrated six birthdays, including our very own Melanie Bush and Barry Blanton. Festivities included decorated workspaces and lighthearted surprises, most notably a confetti-filled moment during a management meeting that left a lasting impression. (For the record, the responsible party remains a valued member of the team.)
Professional development filled our buckets this month as team members attended a training session led by Stacy Harris of Stacy Harris Consulting, focused on making an “Instant Impact.” The session provided practical strategies for building confidence, strengthening client relationships, and enhancing overall communication.
In the spirit of service, BBK team members volunteered with Compassion United at their annual Together Gala and Auction. Embracing the Roaring 20s theme, the team contributed both time and enthusiasm to an evening dedicated to supporting a meaningful cause.
The month concluded with a planning committee meeting for BBK’s float in the upcoming Parade of Lights this December. Preparations are already underway, with creativity and excitement building around this year’s theme.
As March came to a close, so did the first quarter of 2026, leaving a strong foundation of hard work, meaningful connections, and shared success. As we reflect, we are reminded and grateful for our BBK team, valued client relationships, and the opportunities ahead.
