Leslie Martinez

Bookkeeper

Leslie Martinez brings a strong educational foundation and hands-on accounting experience to her role at Better Bookkeepers. She graduated from the University of Houston in December 2025 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. During her time at UH, she was an active member of the Accounting Society, where she enjoyed connecting with others and expanding her professional knowledge.

Prior to joining BBK, Leslie gained valuable experience through an internship at a bookkeeping and tax firm, working with businesses of various sizes. This experience allowed her to develop a well-rounded understanding of bookkeeping and how accurate financial records play an important role in tax preparation and compliance. Leslie is also QuickBooks Online Certified and is continuing to expand her expertise with plans to pursue Xero certification.

Leslie enjoys applying her accounting knowledge to help businesses stay organized and maintain accurate financial records. With a strong attention to detail and a desire to continue learning, she looks forward to growing professionally while supporting BBK's clients.

Outside of work, Leslie enjoys spending time outdoors, playing pickleball and soccer, hiking, and gathering around campfires with family and friends. She also has a love for animals and has raised horses, goats, chickens, and dogs! A self-proclaimed foodie and coffee enthusiast, Leslie loves exploring Houston's restaurant and coffee scene and discovering new favorite spots.
